Ok, here’s the deal,  I think it would be great if everybody was prepared for the Spring & Summer by having an inspection & knowing how much wasted utility money they could be saving by having a leak test on their duct system. The secret is understanding duct leakage…

There is so much waste in most duct systems that you could actually reduce the size of your equipment and still get better comfort even as your system runs a little longer on each cycle this year.  I know it sounds counter-intuitive but it’s true!  The tighter your duct system is & the increased run time from a properly sized A/C unit will actually remove more humidity, improving comfort & efficiency.  Remember the saying “Bigger is NOT Better” You won’t hear most HVAC contractors say this… We can tell if you have a system design that needs correcting or if

the airflow is out of balance; so if you have Excessive Dust Problems, Hot or Cold rooms or High Utility Bills…you are a candidate for a duct inspection, or maybe even a duct leakage test.

Duct Leaks ~ this can be different for every home or A/C system…we look at & measure things like humidity, hot or cold rooms (airflow), the duct lay-out, size, duct materials and attic insulation.

Remember, if you have a lot of leakage you’ll also have a lot of dust…so let’s make sure your airflow numbers add up to the correct system size and then we’ll get control of the dust; sometimes it takes more than just a really good air filter, it takes a professional.

I like mine w/ Siracha mayo, + fancy stone-ground mustard & lots of scallions (just the green parts) For a low calorie salad type dish, just get some fancy lettuce leaves and roll the egg salad up in there. Skip the bread to save the carbs or plan on burning them off during your spring cleaning project!  Avocado adds good fat to the protein in the egg or bacon crumbles if you like!

Yea, Baseball is back this month… I know it’s a long season but we Rockies & Cubs & Wahoo fans know that ‘hope springs eternal’, at least till the all-star break… I spent a part of my Easter weekend at Wahoo’s stadium watching the team in this year’s opening home stand with the fresh young roster

It was great fun & like a visit to “Old home week” seeing all the friends & acquaintances back at the ballpark. Home stands for April include series against the Knoxville Smokies,

recently relocated from  Jackson TN and a short 3 game homestand against the Biloxi Shuckers

My  monthly musical recommendation would be to give a listen to ‘Shawn Camp’s latest offering called “The Ghost of Sis Draper.” What a fantastic collection of songs about a Camp family legend from Arkansas, it’s an entire album about a Lady Fiddler ‘Sis Draper’ that really lays it down!  This album was a long term collaboration with Shawn’s friend & compatriot songwriter Guy Clark; before Guy left this

world in 2016 he urged Shawn to complete this collection of songs, and now it available for our listening pleasure. I’m a serious bluegrass aficionado and this is the best album I’ve come across in quite a while. You can find it on Spotify & Apple Music. But until Suwannee Roots Revival fest in October, we’ll see you at The Vinyl music hall or the Wahoo’s ballpark.
