2) Is your system sized correctly for the home?This includes the equipment AND the duct… I see way too many systems that were upsized because they didn’t cool very well. Unfortunately, it’s common for a customer to complain of uncomfortable conditions after a change-out. Often, contractors will upsize a unit without consideration to the duct size or the return air size (where the filter is). We see houses that start with 2.5 or 3 ton systems & end up with 4 and 5 ton systems but nobody ever looks at the duct size or the return size or the building envelope leakage (I.E. Gaps Cracks & Holes)

the heat that tries to get into the conditioned space ? Attic insulation is very important for keeping the cool air in and the hot air out. As we all know, heat moves from hot to cool & moisture moves from wet to dry; those are the rules of Physics and both of those laws will affect comfort and energy costs in the indoor environment. It’s always cooler & drier in the indoors than in the outdoors, at least during the summer on our humid Gulf Coast.

Tomato Pie recipe:
The only 2 things that Money Can’t Buy…True Love and Home Grown Tomatoes Blanch 6-8 tomatoes in boiling water for 20 seconds, Then Ice water; Peel or “Slip” the Skins & slice for a 9” pie crust (buy premade or make your own.) In ¼” layers put tomato’s & shredded mozzarella cheese followed by a layer of ‘maters & Kerrygold Dubliner Cheese, grated; top w/ Basil or Italian Herb Blend; Bake at 350° for 30 Min, Let cool and serve w/ Pinot Gris or California ‘Chardonnay’ Spice it up by adding jalapenos!
